This is another of Daniel’s favorite drinks when he has a craving for something sweet and warm. It is totally satisfying and filling without the fat, sugar, and calories of a traditional chai tea latte . . . and with all the benefits of green tea at the same time.
SERVES 2
INGREDIENTS:
20 to 24 ounces plain almond milk (unsweetened)
2 green chai tea bags
5–10 drops liquid stevia, vanilla or cinnamon flavored
PREPARATION:
1. Heat almond milk in medium saucepan over medium heat until milk begins to boil. Turn off heat immediately or milk will boil over.
2. Pour milk into a teapot to keep warm while steeping, or divide evenly between two cups.
3. Add a tea bag to each cup and let steep for five minutes.
4. Add 5 drops stevia to each cup (or to taste). Serve hot.
