This dessert is a favorite at parties. It’s fresh and elegant. I like giving guests two options to choose from: Macadamia Cream Sauce or Simple Chocolate Sauce. Many people choose to drizzle both.
SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS:
FRESH BERRIES:
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1 cup fresh raspberries
MACADAMIA CREAM SAUCE:
½ cup macadamia nuts
2 tablespoons coconut, fine shredded, unsweetened
½ cup full-fat coconut milk
5 to 10 drops vanilla crème–flavored liquid stevia
OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon raw honey
pinch of salt
PREPARATION:
1. Mix berries and divide among four dessert bowls.
2. Add all Macadamia Cream Sauce ingredients to a high-powered blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. If sauce is too thick, add 2 to 4 tablespoons unsweetened almond or coconut milk until sauce reaches desired consistency. Transfer to serving bowl.
3. Drizzle sauce over berries and serve.
NOTE: Instead of the Macadamia Cream Sauce, substitute with the Mood-Boosting Chocolate Sauce for a chocolaty variation.
