A cookbook is like an ice cream social: you have to have a lot of people. Ours included:
• Eric Medsker, one of the best photographers we know (and a terrific friend)
• Caroline Dorn, a spot-on eye for props to make the desserts look their best
• BJ Berti, a great editor who helped us craft the book into something better than we imagined
• Courtney Littler, always on top of things at the publisher, making our job so much easier
• Michelle McMillian, an art director who caught our vision for “hip but comfortable”
• Jan Derevjanik, a terrific book designer
• Danielle Fiorella, a great cover designer
• Marie Estrada, an on-the-ball marketer for cookbooks
• John Karle, a hardworking publicist in a fast-moving industry
• Leah Stewart, a copyeditor who made it seem all too easy
• Susan Ginsburg, our literary agent for (gulp) twenty-six cookbooks (and counting)
• Stacy Testa, our patient voice of reason at the agency
• Mary Rodgers and Ilona Gollinger at Cuisinart, who supplied the ice cream machines for recipe-testing and the photo shoot
• Kim Roman and Jill Sciuto at Digitas, who supplied ice cream attachments for the KitchenAid mixer as well as invaluable KitchenAid bakeware
• Gretchen Holt and her team at OXO, for more kitchen tools than we can ever count, including some pretty fine ice cream scoops
