About the Author

Dorothy T. Ratigan’s career in fi ber arts spans thirty years. As a shop owner, she sold needlecraft supplies and taught classes in knitting, crewelwork, crochet, needlepoint, bargello, embroidery, cross-stitch and weaving. As president and co-owner of Pine Tree Knitters, she designed knitted skiwear, oversaw a production staff and marketed fi nished items to L.L.Bean, Eddie Bauer and others. As a designer and technical editor, she has worked for Brown Sheep Company, Inc.; North Island Designs; Knitting World magazine; Knitter’s magazine; Interweave Knits magazine; and Piece Work magazine. Dorothy has also worked on countless books, including the One-Skein Wonders series (Storey Publishing, LLC), the Bond Collection and many Interweave Press titles. One of her designs is featured in Vogue Knitting: The Ultimate Knitting Book (Sixth&Spring Books)
