Every now and then, we changed the format of our inner group meeting entirely. Once, one member brought blankets and food, piled us all into his Jeep, and drove us to the top of a local mountain peak. We had a very high-energy meeting in the cool night air as a beautiful full moon rose over the valley.
Another time we drove down to the beach and romped through the crashing breakers in the dark of night. Then we built a fire on the beach, and had a group meditation.
Once we arranged to spend a day on a wilderness adventure course. We confronted our own fears or limitations with rock climbing, rappeling, tree climbing, and nature hikes.
All these things were done with the intention of elevating our consciousness so we could team up with each other and with our higher selves through nature. We created a special bond individually and as a group that immeasurably helped our future work together.
Connecting with a group of like-minded people on an inner level can provide many benefits, not the least of which is to remind ourselves that our inner search can be fun as well as challenging.
