42. Smile a lot

If you’ve started to slow down and simplify your life, if you’re spending time in nature and have surrounded yourself with beauty, if you’ve latched on to syn-chronicity and tuned into your creativity, and if you’ve learned to enjoy each moment, you’re probably already smiling a lot.

In fact, you may find yourself absolutely grinning from time to time for no apparent reason.

And, once you start doing some of the harder stuff in the next couple of chapters, you may well find yourself positively ecstatic.

Once you free yourself from anger (#66), or worry (#64), or negative thinking (#63), your life will be so much simpler.

Once you learn to detach (#49), overcome your fears (#50), and learn to say no (#54), your load will be so much lighter. Your heart and mind and soul will be free. Things will somehow start to make sense. It’ll happen spontaneously. There’s nothing to be done about it. Don’t question it. Don’t doubt it. Don’t apologize for it. Don’t gloat. It just happens. Enjoy it. And keep on smiling.
