FOR HELP DURING A MEETING…

Take this book with you to meetings.

Turn back one page to Table E (pp. 212–13), and you will have handy in front of you the words you are most likely to need to use to take part in debate and make motions.

Turn back one more page to Table D (pp. 210–11) for a table of the basic rules for the most common motions.

If you are chairing the meeting, keep the book open in front of you to Table C: Conducting a Meeting as Chair (p. 209), but turn back to Table A (pp. 203–8) for the words you need to use in handling motions and conducting votes.
