Application: Application for extension to existing property. Two-story, north facing, ground floor approximate floor space 1,150 square feet. Design submitted separately.
Comments: Extension to be built on existing property in large, private garden. Walled and tree-lined, will hide construction from all view. Concern about noise in area, large new build in traditionally maintained area, large vehicles using narrow lane for access.
Update: Challaid City Council planning committee pass application 5 votes to 0.

Application: Application for extension to existing property. Two-story, west-facing to rear of existing property, ground floor approximate floor space 2,000 square feet. Design submitted separately.
Comments: Extension to be built in large private garden. Walled and tree lined will hide construction from public view. 4 existing complaints from neighbors regarding noise while project is underway and objecting to design of exterior, considered out of place in traditional area, and to heavy vehicles using narrow lane to access property. During previous extension build, road was damaged, trees damaged with several cleared for vehicle access, road blocked on multiple occasions for residents.
Update: Challaid City Council planning committee pass application 4 votes to 1.

Address: Auri (14 Geug Place), Barton, Challaid, CH1 2LS
Owner: Simon Sutherland
Application: Application to add basement to existing property. Approximate floor space 210 square feet, accessed from within property. Design submitted separately.
Comments: Low risk of disruption for popular form of extension. 4 properties on same street have had similar applications approved in last 3 years, no objections formally raised for any. Some risk of heavy vehicles using lane but recent road upgrade makes that acceptable.
Update: Challaid City Council planning committee pass application 5 votes to 0.
