ERIK HELLMAN currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden, where he works as a Senior Android Engineer at Spotify. He has a long experience in the field of mobile development, starting with the early versions of Java ME and later working as the lead architect for Sony Ericsson and Sony Mobile on their Android projects. Due to his vast experience with Android, Erik is also part of the Google Developer Experts where he helps Google teach about their platform. Erik is the author of the book Android Programming: Pushing the Limits and can often be found speaking at various developer conferences across Europe. He spends his free time traveling with his wife, reading every sci-fi book he can get his hands on, and experimenting with electronics and food.
