Do you know who you are?
Well, of course. You know your name, where you live, and who your parents are. You know what you like to do, and you definitely know what you don’t like doing! These things are all very important and they definitely help you to be fabulous and awesome…but I want to know about your true identity.
Know what makes you special? You are God’s daughter!
You are valuable.
You are loved.
You are God’s special creation!
Remembering these things is a big deal because knowing your identity helps you out when you are making decisions. This is why God wants you to know that your identity is in Him! You are who He says you are…even if your friends or family say something different. When you know that you are God’s daughter, you care about what He thinks and you want to please Him!
Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
If you are God’s girl, then this verse is true for you! If you have put your trust in Jesus then He lives in you and He is your identity!
Dear God, help me remember that I am Your child. You are my identity and I am only who You say I am! I am Yours. In Jesus’s name, amen.
