In my earlier novels, I wrote about issues and history and family drama and love stories that don’t necessarily have a happy outcome. When Marcus and Abby popped into my brain, I knew these characters had a different kind of tale to tell. Their story was always going to be a little softer, a little sexier, a little sweeter...and, it turns out, a whole lot of fun to write.
Abby reflects many women I know and admire in real life. She’s flawed, and she’s faced challenges, but she’s kind and loyal. She’s afraid, but she’s moving forward anyway, and her independence matters to her—this isn’t a woman who wants or needs to be rescued.
I tried to write Marcus as the kind of hero I’d be happy to see any of my real-life friends fall in love with. He’s passionate and determined, but he’s loyal, respectful and supportive, too. And just like Abby, he’s made mistakes, but he’s growing and actively trying to be a better person.
Isabel and Paul’s story will be published in November 2019. Brace yourself, because they have tangled themselves up in quite a mess...and there’ll be fireworks as they untangle it!
I loved writing this story, and I so hope you enjoy reading it. If you do, I’d be grateful if you could take the time to write a review online. Your review really does make a difference—it helps other readers to find my books.
I love hearing from readers, too—if you’d like to get in touch with me, you can find all of my contact details on my website, kellyrimmer.com.
