in a beautiful country called Afghanistan, there was a brave and kind woman named Meena Keshwar Kamal. Meena was born on February 27, 1956, in a city called Kabul. From a young age, Meena loved to learn and dreamed of helping others.

Meena went to school just like you do. She was very smart and loved to read books. She wanted all the children in Afghanistan, especially girls, to have a chance to go to school and learn. She believed that education was very important for everyone.

As Meena grew older, she saw that many girls and women in Afghanistan did not have the same opportunities as boys and men. They were not allowed to go to school or work. Meena wanted to change this and make life better for all the girls and women in her country.

In 1977, when Meena was just 21 years old, she started an organization called the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan, or RAWA. This group helped women and girls by giving them education and support. Meena worked very hard to make sure that women could learn and have better lives.

Meena traveled to many places to talk about the importance of education and women's rights. She visited villages and towns, teaching women how to read and write. She also started schools and hospitals for women and children. Meena's work was very important because it helped many people.

In 1979, Afghanistan faced a big problem. The Soviet Union, a powerful country, invaded Afghanistan. There was a lot of fighting, and many people were scared. Meena did not stop her work. She continued to help women and children, even though it was dangerous.

Meena knew that it was important to keep fighting for what was right. She wanted a better future for all the children in Afghanistan. She worked day and night, helping as many people as she could.

Sadly, in 1987, Meena's life was cut short. She was killed by people who did not want her to continue her work. But even though she was no longer there, her spirit and her dreams lived on.

The people of Afghanistan remembered Meena as a hero. Today, many schools and organizations in Afghanistan and around the world continue Meena's work. They help girls and women get an education and support their families. Meena's story inspires many people to be brave and to help others.

And that is the story of Meena Keshwar Kamal, Afghanistan's Daughter, who worked tirelessly to make her country a better place for everyone. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all those she helped and inspired.
