BROWNIE MIX

The convenience of box brownie mix is undeniable. After all, it combines chocolate, cocoa, flour, and leavener, so all the cook has to do is add an egg, oil, and water. But not all of them deliver big chocolate flavor. Our favorite brand is Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Supreme Brownie Mix, which gave us moist, chewy brownies with a “balanced chocolate” flavor. But note that you can use any basic brownie mix in this recipe, as long as it measures between 17.5 and 22.5 ounces.
