2. Give your story a “working title”.

A working title is one that works for the time being. Write it on top of
your index card. Your title may change many times but while you are
working on your graphic novel, it is important to have a name for it.
Many writers do not know the real name of their story until their graphic
novel is all finished.

3. Number the top of your board.

(Using a board is just one way of plotting. Improvise! For my Angel
Love
series, I taped together 8½ x 11 paper and used colored pencils.)

The numbers represent the chapters of your graphic novel. You
probably will not know the exact number so make a rough guess. If you
are doing a comic series then these numbers represent your monthly
books. (Many serialized comic books have been turned into graphic
novels.)
