Creating a novel truly takes many talents. I am so grateful for the people in my life that have helped me accomplish my dream. This story is personal to me because the hero and heroine are based on my grandparents. The photo on the cover is my grandmother, and some of the words written in the letters (chapter thirty-two) were from my grandfather. There are over three-hundred and fifty letters he wrote to my grandmother while she was in Milwaukee.
I’d like to thank my husband, Tim, who has been supportive of my new career choice. He listened to me talk about my characters as if they were real and gave me the “male” point of view when I asked. I’m giving him credit for this line in the book: “Besides, any car that’s fast enough for Bonnie and Clyde is good enough for me.”
For my three daughters: Jessica, Jennifer, and Jayme who gave me encouragement and vigilant prodding to keep me going and finish. It took many years, but the time is here, and I hope your mom has made you proud.
To my writing group, you are the best: Amy, DeAnn, Helen, Lyn, Marlene, and Steve. Your encouragement and successes gave me the drive to stay on the publishing journey.
