For Emma, my SUPER girl

Acknowledgments

My journey to this point has been full of emotions, trials, failures (yes, plenty!) and some wonderful happy memories too. But as Arthur Ashe said: ‘Success is a journey not a destination. The doing is usually more important than the outcome,’ and this holds true to my path and this book. And for that, I want to say thank you to all of YOU who have followed me on my journey. I read every comment, email, post, and message on social media and in my inbox and I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am for all of your kind and inspiring words. Thank you. This book certainly wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for your love and support.

Thank you to my husband Luke and four kids, Emma, Jack, William and Nestor. We were shocked, surprised and thrilled when Superfoods came to fruition and even more elated when this book came around. ‘Two cookbooks’ is all I could say! All the hugs, screaming for joy, jumping around will be remembered forever.

Thank you to my wonderful sister-in-law Jemima for your constant support, loving words and simply being so caring. Oh, and your recipe in the book is very good, too!

Thank you, Alix Jones, for well, everything! I don’t even know where to begin, but three years later and here we are. Thank you.

Thank you, Calgary Avansino, for being a huge inspiration in my journey to here and I look forward to our journeys colliding even more in the future.

Thank you, Rosemary Scoular and Aoife Rice, my wonderful agents, for believing in me and supporting me in all that I do. To Céline Hughes, my amazing editor, for making this follow-up to Superfoods , a Super Book Number 2! And thank you to the incredible team who helped put this book together again, Yuki, Iris, Nikki and Rebecca. From the yoga breaks during those long, dark winter days to the toasting with Japanese sake, I can’t wait to do it again.

Thank you, Hannah Bryce, my publicist, for working over and beyond what any other publicist would do!

Finally, thank you to all of the incredible brands, and the people behind them, who have supported me, inspired me and rooted for me over the past several years. You know who you are. Thank you.
