Jaz and Nad’s ‘Chocolate Turkish Delight’

Hiya!

Here’s how to make our inspired sweets!

You need:

A box of Turkish delight (We would give you the recipe for Nad’s mum’s Turkish Delight – but it’s top secret! Sorry!)

Large bar of milk chocolate

A microwave-proof bowl

A microwave

A big plastic or wooden spoon or spatula

A skewer or fork (one for each person making the sweets)

A big plate

This is what you need to do:

1. Open the box of Turkish delight and maybe try a couple of pieces! Just to make sure they taste all right!

2. Break the milk chocolate into chunks and put them in the microwave-proof bowl.

3. Melt the chocolate in the microwave on ‘high’. Give it 30 seconds at a time and then stir it. Repeat until the chocolate is melted. (You don’t want to overdo it because it will go gritty.)

4. Stick chunks of Turkish delight onto either a skewer or a fork and dunk them in the melted chocolate. You might want to tap some of the icing sugar off them first – to help the chocolate to stick. Then put them on the large plate to cool. You will probably get covered in chocolate – but who cares!

Top tip

They’ll cool quicker in the fridge – but they taste better if they’re at room temperature

Eat and enjoy!
