TERRY: There’s not a single doubt in my mind that British strawberries are the best in the entire world. Every summer we have these beauties, right on our doorsteps, so much so that I can’t ever contemplate buying imported out-of-season strawberries—they don’t even come close to the flavor. I try to leave them alone as much as possible but can’t resist them with this cinnamon cream.
SERVES 4
1 pound strawberries
1¼ cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste
1. Buy the best strawberries that you can.
2. Whip the heavy cream lightly until soft peaks form. Stir in the ground cinnamon, adding more to taste if you wish.
3. Serve the strawberries with dollops of the soft cinnamon cream.
