¾ cup canned crushed tomatoes
1½ tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch of ground black pepper
IN a bowl, combine the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Whisk until smooth. Add the sugar, oregano, garlic powder, and pepper. Stir to blend well. Store in an airtight plastic container for up to 5 days.
