FOREWORD

When I was 16, I began recording accounts of unexplainable experiences in my journal. I have finally transferred it on to a disc and onto a computer. Originally, I had decided to write down everything as it took place and ended up with about 250 pages of experiences. I remember that I began writing things down on the backs of envelopes, in the margins of my kids school papers, and on whatever I had close by whenever something happened. That system lent itself to built-in disorganization, although it did preserve many fascinating observations and occurrences. Fortunately, most of the scraps had been dated. In the end, I had a sizeable box of history that made absolutely no sequential sense. It took me nearly six months of intensive sorting and filing to arrange them in order. When I got my first laptop, I spent many long nights moving the information on to it, piece by piece.

For years I have thought it held the promise of being an interesting first-person account of the phenomena that my family and I have witnessed here. It was meant for future generations that might live in this house. I am proud to see it being expanded upon from the recollections of the family, and written and released so it can be shared on a broader level. Perhaps we can band together and discover additional insights into this mystery that is not only part of my life, but part of all of our lives and very existence.

My family and I would like to thank Bill Hall for bringing my story to the public, and for doing so in an objective manner. We appreciate his keen ability to meticulously research a story and present it to his readers in an open and honest way. I would also like to thank Paul and Ben Eno and Shane Sirois, who have helped so much by being attentive and supportive, and opening our eyes to possibilities we never dreamed of!
