1/4 cup Jack Daniel’s whiskey
1/4 cup light soy sauce
1/4 cup Grey Poupon, or other Dijon mustard
5 green onions, minced
1/4 cup golden brown sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Combine all ingredients and whisk vigorously, until the sugar is dissolved.
Makes 11/4 cups
Prepare this marinade ahead of time and keep it refrigerated up to 4 days in a tightly covered container. If you are concerned about the alcohol, it will burn off on the hot grill. You can also flame it in a small saucepan and cook it out. Let the liquid cool completely before whisking with the other ingredients.
