This book was a last-minute addition to our schedule, based on our belief that America needed stories on this topic, and we were overwhelmed by the response. As always, we were overwhelmed with submissions and all of them were wonderful. We could only publish a small percentage of the stories that were submitted, but we read every single one and even the ones that do not appear in the book had an influence on what went into the final manuscript.
