Lefty
Lefty had tumbled down a steep hill ahead of the revenant chasing him just before Divak fired. That was all that kept him from being atomized by the explosion. The force of the blast still hit Lefty like a tremendous hammer, turning him end over end like a tumbleweed. He lost pieces of himself along the way to fire and impact before he finally came to a stop against an enormous boulder. He lay still, mind like static, wondering if he should be getting up.
[Mason, Mason, Mason help, Mason, Mason, help me, help me.]
But Mason wasn’t replying. Something was wrong with their connection. Lefty needed to rejoin the mainframe.
Lefty tried to pull himself up, but he didn’t have enough extensors left to manage it. No matter. The boulder, precariously balanced on a slurry of smaller rocks, solved that conundrum for him when it tipped over and crushed him into the ground.
[Mason? Grayson?]
