I couldn’t believe that Misty and I had gotten caught so damn quickly. The moment I walked into the house I was being questioned like a mad man. Fu wouldn’t stop until I finally told him my whereabouts, but the moment I opened my mouth I was caught. I said we had gone to the nail spa and my brother told him we went to lunch and a movie. Shit was just crazy and once I uttered the words abortion out of my mouth, it was like I saw the human form of rage.
Fu was so mad that he berated me like a child and then proceeded to tear my house up. Every picture that hung the walls was now resting on the floor. I didn’t know that he would be this angry, to the point that he scared me. I mean, I expected him to be upset but that person he became last night was a person that I would never want to cross.
I got up from my dining room chair overlooking my fucked-up ass house. The fact that I would have to clean all of this shit up made me tired already. It wasn’t until I heard the horn honking outside that I realized that Game was coming to get me for lunch. Usually, we would discuss the monthly sales for the K-Spot, but somehow, I knew that this lunch would be different.
I got into the car and Nipsey Hussle’s “Grinding All My Life” was blasting through the speakers. I swear he was going to wear this damn album out. He finally turned down the music and just shook his head at me.
“Don’t start Jahfar. I’m not in the mood today,” I said, hoping that he would leave me the fuck alone with his piercing stare.
“I don’t care what you’re in the mood for. You’re dirty, yo.” He continued to shake his head.
“Okay, well let me be dirty then.”
“Why you kill that man baby Kay? That shit was selfish as hell.”
“I’m not about to sit here and defend my actions to you. It was my body and my choice.”
“But that was his baby too Kay. Damn, the least you could have done was talk to the nigga about it,” he preached.
“For what? So, he could try and talk me out of it? With everything that happened with him and Danni, I just wasn’t ready to have his baby.”
“Man, it’s really not even my business so I’ma leave it alone.”
“Yeah, fine time to mind your business. And anyway, why you all up in my Kool-Aid when you got your own problems in your back yard?”
“Fuck you talking about girl?”
I turned and faced him. “Uhh, you and Misty. You snapped on her for nothing at all. That girl didn’t do nothing wrong.”
“No, y’all was on some hoe shit getting numbers at Walmart. I’ve been embarrassed in a relationship before and it won’t happen again.”
“Well maybe if you would’ve listened to her and believed her, you wouldn’t have embarrassed your damn self. You know I’m not gone lie for her. I put that damn number in her phone after he paid for MY stuff. She wouldn’t even look at his ass out of respect for yo’ ass.”
I was getting hot at his stubborn self.
“Oh, and another thing, you have a beautiful girlfriend. She literally turns heads when we are out. If you don’t want niggas stepping to her, she’s not the one for you. Be lucky she shuts shit down and is not a slimy slut like your BM.”
“Man, watch yo’ mouth.”
“You just make sure you make things right with my girl because with or without you, she’s still gone be my sis.”
The rest of the car ride was silent, and I knew that my brother was in deep thought. Now I just had to get my relationship right while I was all in his.
