When you have finished crocheting, you need to fasten off the stitches to stop all your work unravelling.
1 Pull up the final loop of the last stitch to make it bigger.
2 Cut the yarn, leaving enough of an end to weave in.
3 Pull the end through the loop.
4 Pull the loop up tightly.
WORKING INTO WHICH LOOP?
All crochet stitches are always worked through both loops of the next stitch (looks like a ‘V’ on top of the stitch), unless the pattern tells you otherwise. Insert the hook under both loops of the next stitch, then complete the stitch.
In this book, you are sometimes asked to work through the back loop only (blo) to create texture. Insert the hook under the back loop only of the next stitch, going through the centre of the stitch to the back, then complete the stitch.
