Balsamic Grilled Tuna

This oil and vinegar–based marinade can be used for so many other entrees — chicken, turkey, fish, etc.

Serves 2

Ingredients

2 tuna steaks, about 5 ounces each

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 clove garlic, crushed

Salt and black pepper to taste

14 cup barbecue sauce

Nonstick cooking spray

  1. Rinse the tuna steaks. Poke several holes on both sides of the steaks, so the marinade can infuse in.

  2. Create marinade by mixing olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, salt, and black pepper together.

  3. Place the tuna in a small bowl and pour the marinade over the fish. Let marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Drain marinade from tuna.

  4. Light grill, making sure your grill grates are clean. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Place the tuna on the grill for 3 to 4 minutes, turn over and repeat the process.

  5. With about 3 minutes left in cooking, brush with barbecue sauce.
