THE COFFEE

Jacks Coffee Shop on 10th Street and 6th Avenue is where Imogen runs very early one morning to have coffee and meet up with Jack. Jack is the vey real proprietor of that shop in the West Village, and every girl in the city has a crush on him. His coffee is as delicious and famous as flirty Jack, who looks like JFK and whose caffeinated charm is irresistible. Expect to see local celebs there in the morning, like Julianne Moore and Kate Winslet.

THE COCKTAIL SPOT

Imogen’s charming brownstone is on Bank Street in the West Village. The two of us have spent many evenings plotting the book in the ultra old-school chic The Waverly, created by Graydon Carter, the editor of Vanity Fair. We love settling in next to the roaring fire place in the autumn and the enchanting magnolia garden in the spring, imagining that we are waiting for Imogen to appear with truffles and hilarious horror stories from the end of a long day working with Eve.

THE COCKTAIL

Imogen’s favorite cocktail is the French 75 – gin, the finest champagne, lemon juice and a cube of sugar. It was created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris. Order one at Café Gitane in the wonderfully bohemian Jane Hotel.

THE HOTEL LOBBY

While we’re on the subject of hotel lobbies, every Techbitch works remotely now and then and the place to do that is in the lobby of the Ace Hotel, right next to the Breslin gastropub where you can pop in for lunch and their fine Island Creek oysters.

THE SNACK

Imogen is enchanted by the macaron stand inside the Shoppit offices. When we need a macaron fix (about once a week) they head to the delectable little shop Bisous Ciao in the West Village.

THE BREAKFAST

They call it the power breakfast spot, The Garden restaurant inside the Four Seasons Hotel where Imogen and Eve have one of their first showdowns. When you want to be seen having a meeting this is the reservation you make before 8 a.m.

THE LUNCH

We wrote so many sections of the book together inside the fabulous bistro Café Cluny, poring over pages with too many macchiattos to count and the delicious avocado toast.

THE WORKOUT

Eve forces the entire office to hit up a class at ‘Spirit Cycle’, which isn’t an actual place in NYC, but it could be. The two of us don’t just write together, we also sweat together and when we do, we head to FlyWheel for their phenomenal FlyBarre classes.
