Use one of the fusion-dyed collage skins you created (see page 68) and print a black-and-white image over the top.
Collage Pauge matte
dyed paper towels
plastic page protector
trowel palette knife
painter’s tape or temporary spray adhesive
scissors
artwork or image to print
inkjet printer, paper and ink
Collage various dyed paper towels onto a plastic page protector using Collage Pauge matte using the technique on page 68. Set aside to dry.
Create black-and-white illustrations, doodles or line art on printer paper using black permanent markers and pens. In this example I’m using photocopies of doodles from my journal.
Tape three sides of the collage onto a piece of inkjet paper. For thicker bases of collage and textures, tape three sides instead of two.
Place the black-and-white drawing over glass on an inkjet printer bed and press copy. Alternatively, print an image from the computer. Set printed image aside to dry.
