Honey-Mustard Baked Chicken Wings

This is a no-frills recipe for classic honey-mustard wings, and that’s because all you really need is mustard, honey, and chicken. They match perfectly: the tangy bite of mustard subdued by sweet honey; the succulent skin of chicken wings absorbing both flavors while crisping up in the oven. I did add smoked paprika, because the only thing that could make these better was a hint of smoke. It plays perfectly off the sweet-and-sour flavors, and adds a little more color to this classic and delicious appetizer. • serves 4

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

In a large bowl, whisk together the mustard, honey, paprika, salt, and mustard powder until smooth. Add the wings and toss to coat. Transfer the wings to a baking sheet and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until golden and crisp around the edges.
