CHOCOLATE-COVERED STRAWBERRIES

Yields 15 to 20 strawberries

I used to think that chocolate-covered strawberries were reserved for fancy occasions. But once I learned how easy they are to make, they’ve become my go-to dessert for dinner parties. Guests find this end-of-meal treat oh so elegant. (No need to let them know how simple they are to make!)

Ingredients:

1 (12-ounce) bag vegan semisweet chocolate chips

1 (1-pound) carton strawberries, washed and dried

Directions:

1.    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2.    In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips in 30-second increments, stirring between each time, until the chocolate is smooth and creamy.

3.    Grab each strawberry by its stem and dip it in chocolate, then place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all the strawberries have been dipped.

4.    Place the baking tray in the fridge and refrigerate for 20 to 25 minutes or until the chocolate solidifies. These are best kept in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.
