Purpose: Identify your strongest self-limiting beliefs.
a. Identify your “asteroid strikes.”
- Create a list of past events that you feel may have had a strong negative impact on how you see yourself and your world.
- Go through this list and determine which event seems to you to have had the deepest or most significant impact.
b. Identify your strongest self-limiting beliefs.
- From this checklist of seven self-limiting beliefs, identify which belief feels most pertinent to you:
I am not safe.
I am worthless.
I am powerless.
I am not lovable.
I cannot trust anyone.
I am bad.
I am alone.
c. Verify the elements you have identified.
- Use neuromuscular feedback to help review both lists and arrive at what you see as the single most pertinent past event and the single most prevalent self-limiting belief.
