Wow! We were so inspired by the talented youth in our community! We celebrated this talent during the 40 Story’s Mega Event. This was a huge celebration with performers, speakers, and awards.
The 40 Story’s Mega Event was an event filled with many laughs, interesting story’s, and fun experiences. We even unveiled the 40 Story’s Leadership Book Cover to the audience. We had a number of inspirational speeches (some even by kids!), a thrilling award ceremony, a group macarena dance lead by YMCA, and a Bollywood routine by local dancers.

Unveiling of 40 Story’s Leadership Book Cover
With the Help of Aktar Badshah, the Senior Director of Community Affairs at Microsoft we were able to unveil the 40 Story’s Leadership book cover. Before we unveiled the book cover we asked our community to give us feedback. By having them vote on three different choices. There was an overwhelming vote on the current book cover design.
Art Display of 40 Leadership Assets
All of the 40 Paintings were showcased at the event. Each painting was beautifully framed with white mat and had beautiful titles. People spent lots of time admiring all the beautiful work.
Award Ceremony to recognize 55 youth leaders
We had 8 amazing community leaders who helped us to acknowledge the 55 youth leaders for all their hard work and dedication. Each participant received a trophy as well as a bag with lots of fun gifts.
Inspirational Speeches
We had many inspirational speeches from a number of youth leaders. They talked about a variety of topics, including Higher Expectations, Sense of Purpose, Empowerment from the perspective of youth, and Empowerment from the perspective of a parent. All of the speakers were amazing and inspiring.
Bollywood Performances
Local Bollywood dancers performed a traditional Indian dance routine to kick off our event. They were one of the many performances during our celebration. They performed a beautiful routine, wearing gorgeous dresses. You could hear the sequins on their skirts jingling as they danced. The music was enlightening; it was a sight to see.
