*This was for the first of three stages. At first-stage cutoff, the Earth-fixed velocity was approximately 7,900 feet per second, and the space-fixed velocity was approximately 9,100 feet per second. Orbital velocity was achieved after the third-stage cutoff, at a space-fixed velocity of approximately 25,500 feet per second. Total oxidizer plus propellant for all three stages was approximately 5.7 million pounds. Earth-fixed velocity is lower because the rockets are always launched in the direction that Earth is rotating, getting a free approximately 1,000 miles per hour of space-fixed velocity.
