SERVES 2; MAKES ABOUT 2 CUPS

YOU made it through the week! Woo-hoo! Time to celebrate with a cool and healthy virgin margarita. Slushy and delicious, you’ll have a hard time limiting yourself to just one! For a thicker drink, use less water. If you use fresh strawberries, add three ice cubes to the blender. Sprinkle the chia on top or rim the glass—either way is just plain good!

½ cup orange juice

¼ to ½ cup water, or to desired consistency

3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice, or to taste

2 tablespoons sugar, agave nectar, or your preferred sweetener, or to taste

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 tablespoon chia seeds

Lime wedge (optional)

• Combine everything, except the chia seeds and lime wedge, in your blender and blast on high speed for 30 to 60 seconds, or until smooth. You may need to stop the machine to mix the fruit. Tweak the flavors to taste and adjust the consistency, if necessary. Sprinkle with the chia and enjoy!

• Serving suggestion (optional): Run a lime wedge around the rims of two margarita glasses. Instead of sprinkling on the drinks, pour the chia seeds onto a plate and carefully dip the top rims of the glasses into the mixture.
