Re: Annual Young Women’s Writing Conference
Dear Ms. Desmarais:
The Austen-Browning Institute at Minerva College is thrilled to inform you that your application to attend this year’s Young Women’s Writing Conference has been approved. Since you have demonstrated a financial need, the Institute will cover fifty percent of your cost. As you know, the conference welcomes young women ages fifteen to eighteen, who show promise in writing, for a week of seminars, readings, and creative exchanges.
This year’s conference will be held at Minerva’s MacMorrow Artists’ Retreat in Granite Notch, New Hampshire. The conference will run from February 10 through February 17. Attendees will share rooms, and each room will be assigned various tasks during the week.
We have assigned you to Room E in the main lodge. Your roommate will be Soph. Alcazar from New York, New York. You and your roommate will be responsible for Tuesday (2/13) dinner and Friday (2/16) breakfast.
Please arrange to be at the Retreat by 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018. Enclosed please find a travel guide along with instructions for reimbursement of travel expenses. We also enclose a schedule of events for the conference.
