Bread

There is enough bread out there on the grocer’s shelf to entice us all. I for one do not buy a loaf or buns unless I gently squeeze them, making sure they are soft, crunchy, and fresh. When I bring bread home, the first thing I do is eat a piece with real butter on it.

Bread signifies satisfaction, contentment, and happiness. The smell of fresh bread is inviting and irresistible, and the temptation is something a lot of us cannot say no to.

Bring a loaf of bread home and share it either hot or cold with the family, with jam, honey, or just plain peanut butter, because as long as there is fresh bread in the house, there will be laughter and prosperity. Every morning, feed the birds with a piece of bread. They will take your dreams of prosperity to those who give it.

Never leave old bread around—it means hardness of the soul and unyielding disposition to those needing financial stability.

Bread signifies the celebration of the harvest. The wheel of the season has once again turned, celebrating the harvest festival, Lammas. We use bread as an offering for the harvest and hope for yet another.

Bread

Hospitality, Happiness, Growth

Bake your own bread at home. When you let the dough rest before putting it into the oven, slip a piece of paper with your wish within its folds. As the dough rises, so will your wish be granted. Remove the paper and bake. When you eat the bread, savor what is yet to come. (see also Grains and Legumes)
