Rachel Miller is a lifelong learner and educator. She is a specialist in nontraditional learning techniques and teaches classes in Integrated Chemistry and Art for grades K–8 and an Engineering class for grades 3–7 that uses only common office supplies as materials. She is a mom to a van-full whose favorite moments are exploring the world hands-on with kids. She is the creator of Quirky Momma and can also be found on her blog, One Crazy House.
Holly Homer is a retired Physical Therapist whose favorite subjects were Gross Anatomy and Chemistry. Her best summer was the one spent as a Gross Anatomy Lab Teaching Assistant where she was responsible for 40 students and 8 cadavers. She has served as a volunteer science teacher for grades 5–8 and now partially homeschools her three boys. She is passionate that learning shouldn’t always include sitting. She can also be found writing the Kids Activities Channel on About.com, eBay.com and HollyHomer.com.
Jamie Harrington has loved science for as long as she can remember. She made her first model solar system for the third grade science fair, and still gets nostalgic for that bunsen burner smell in her high school chemistry class. In her kindergarten classroom, she always made sure her students spent more time working hands-on with science so that they could really know how things work. Teaching kids real-world applications for science is really important to Jamie; she loves doing science experiments with her daughter and is super jazzed about sharing what she knows with a new generation of learners! Jamie also writes for the Huffington Post and her blog, Totally the Bomb. Her work has appeared on Yahoo, BuzzFeed and Condé Nast.
