About The Author

Annemarie Colbin, the daughter of a Dutch mother and a Hungarian father, was brought up in Argentina on an international vegetarian diet. Her professional interest—she has been teaching natural foods cooking classes for eleven years—began, she says, simply out of curiosity to find out more about herself and other people: “I was intrigued by the idea of being able to control the way you feel by what you eat.”

Colbin founded the Natural Gourmet Cookery School in 1977, where she conducts regular weekly classes. She lives in New York City with her two daughters.
