The Pentacles are the pragmatists of the tarot deck, they enjoy getting their hands dirty and doing things, making things, fixing things and organising things. Their big challenge is to change their ways to move forward and to embrace change. Their weakness is their desire to stay the same and resist change. For instance, in the Pentacles Kingdom the villagers stick to the same routines and patterns, they don’t tolerate change, it only serves to confuse them. They are smart enough but too much thinking bores them. They are traditionalists as opposed to progressives. Their opposite element is Fire – Wands - and the challenge for Pentacles is to become more adventurous, like the Wands.
