This book would not exist if it weren’t for the covert efforts of my wife, Else Duff, aka Evil E of L.A. Derby Dolls fame. It’s because of her that it made its way to Rare Bird when I wasn’t looking. Obviously, thanks must be extended to Tyson and Julia at Rare Bird. They are true mavericks in an ever-changing world.
I would also be remiss if I didn’t wave a soggy handkerchief at the individuals who didn’t hang on long enough to see this mess published. Some participants in the story itself, including guitarist extraordinaire Amy Wichmann and Spanish legend Kike Turmix, have left to disrupt other dimensions. My love interest often referenced in this book, Gina, is also no longer with us, having departed suddenly. Her last name has been omitted from the book out of respect for her family. The two people who would have both loved and hated this the most, my mom and dad, are also not with us. If they’ve been reading over my shoulders, well, I hope there weren’t too many surprises.
