Thread seaming yarn on a tapestry needle. Butt the selvedge edges of two pieces of fabric together or place them back to back. Working from bottom to top, *bring threaded needle from back to front near the edge of one side, then from back to front near the edge of the other side. Repeat from *, inserting the needle a short distance above the previous path.
Thread stitching yarn on a tapestry needle. Working from right to left, *bring under the edge of the cloth to be covered, then out again a short distance away, being careful to bring the needle out on top of the stitching yarn. Repeat from * for the desired length.
Thread weft yarn on a tapestry needle. Working from right to left, *bring the threaded needle under the desired number of warp ends (two shown here) above the fell, then back to the starting point, encircling the group. Pass the needle under the same group of ends, bringing it out through the weaving the desired number of weft picks below the fell (two shown here). Repeat from * across the fell. To end, needle weave the tail into the cloth and trim the end.
Thread the yarn to be needle-woven on a tapestry needle. Bring the needle in and out of the woven cloth, mimicking the over-under path of one warp end (if working vertically) or one weft pick (if working horizontally) in the woven cloth.
Cut three strands (or three groups of strands) about two times the desired finished length. Tie the strands together at one end in an overhand knot. *Lay the right strand over the middle strand so that the right strand is now the middle strand. Lay the left strand over the new middle strand. Repeat from * to the desired length.
Divide the number of strands for each fringe into two groups. Twist each group clockwise until it kinks. Bring both groups together and twist them counterclockwise (allow them to untwist around each other in that direction). Secure the ends with an overhand knot to prevent untwisting.
Thread seaming yarn on a tapestry needle. Hold the pieces to be seamed together with their wrong sides facing together. * Bring threaded needle through both layers from back to front. Repeat from *, inserting the needle a short distance above the previous path.
