25. Fortune Cookies

One of the most iconic horror scenes is when the kids from IT open their fortune cookies, and it becomes a terrifying experience. The first one explodes and spews blood. The second one develops fands and starts crawling.

Serving size: 4-6

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

• 3 egg whites
• ½ cup butter
• ¾ cup sugar
• ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
• ¼ teaspoon almond extract
• 3 tablespoons water
• 1 cup flour
• Print out small fortune sheets

Instructions:

First, add egg whites and sugar to a bowl and whip it for 2 minutes.

Add butter, vanilla, almond and water and whisk till combined.

Use a tablespoon to pick up the batter and roll it on a lined baking tray.

Next, bake in a preheated 375 Fahrenheit oven for 8 minutes.

The cookie should be semi-cooked.

Insert the paper in the center and fold the cookie into a semi-circle.

Then, push the center inwards to get the fortune cookie shape.

Return it into the oven and bake for 10 minutes.

Serve.
