WRITING PROMPTS

1. Look back through the text and find four descriptions of Nora’s smile. What do they tell you about Nora’s character? Do the descriptions of her smile ever change? Write a paragraph about it.?
2. Melina decided to stand up to Rose and her friends. Write two paragraphs about a time you decided to stand up for yourself or for someone else. Be sure to explain why you did it and what happened afterward.?
3. A theme, or main idea, in this story is that a team needs to work together and respect each other to be successful. Write a list of things you could do to encourage teamwork. In your list, include ways that Melina and the other characters built up their team, but also come up with some of your own.?
