And many, many more on a weed by weed basis. The web offers some interesting scientific articles on specific weeds, their components, potential uses and potential bio-controls. University sites usually provide accurate information—I mention only a few of my favorites.

Beware of relying too heavily on any single website weed identification. Some sites display mislabeled photos of other plants or weeds, or other misinformation which may have been posted by less informed gardeners. Other sites promote various plants for sale as vitamin or herbal supplements and make a variety of unsupported or exaggerated claims.
