Foreword

There are literally thousands of books published on good health and nutrition and they all have their point of view. Often though, these points of view lead to readers becoming confused and conflicted about what the right path to health is for them. Rarely is there a book that actually educates a reader on the basic fundamentals required for health and weight loss and all the ways that they can be affected, positively and negatively, by their food and lifestyle, as well as this book does. Thankfully, once in a while along comes an amazing practitioner who just gets it. Karina Francois has taken all her experience and expertise and created this beautifully presented book that breaks it all down to basics so that even the most confused person can see their life clearly. She has approached this book as a project manual, setting out all the information, giving plenty of easy-to-read examples, putting everything into context and then helping the reader to take action with the new understanding that they will have about what has been going on in their body and mind.

Karina knows how important it is not only for people to have the information they need to make changes but also the tools to implement those changes and keep on track into the future. This book will help those people who have really tried everything and cannot understand why things haven’t worked for them. They will discover what their natural body composition is and what works best for them as well as what they’re lacking and what they need to incorporate or improve in their diet and their lifestyle in order to achieve their goals.

The mindset mojo section is so important for understanding where all the thoughts for our actions are generated. By encouraging the reader to really get to what is important in their lives and discover what is holding them back, Karina is creating a different approach to weight loss and health that goes beyond the food we eat and how our body uses it. Karina helps the reader discover that when our minds are not positive or focused, we can slowly create the habits that may eventually destroy our health and wellbeing and that when we make time to be aware and take simple steps, we can really turn things around for our health and create a better life for ourselves, inside and out. It is obvious that Karina has immense experience and a wealth of knowledge in this area and she has communicated this beautifully in this well-put-together resource. When you eat clean food you think clearly and when you think clearly you will choose to eat clean food.
