Just a reminder for everyone reading this book: we’re going to provide video training for just about everything inside of our books for FREE because we’re all about value in the content, free information so if you haven’t already go over to the Six Figure Book Growth YouTube Channel and subscribe to the channel for free publishing tips, strategies and advice. Everything you encounter inside of this book will be followed up with snippets of training to create a learning environment that’s comfortable for all. Our goal is to create massive value all around the board for not only this book, but future books and future readers so buckle up.
All training can be found at the end of each book and used as a reference point, but we urge you to read first and then watch the videos as they all tie into one another and we don’t want to cause you any confusion and frustration. The books should always be used first and the training second so you have a basic understanding of what is happening.
So, as we mentioned before, you have two types of writers and now, as we’re writing this book, we forgot to mention the third type of writer.
“The Thinker”
The thinker is the one who has absolutely no desire to write, but still wants to convey their message to their readership and audience without typing, proofing, editing and mashing it all together into a book that will sale.
Well, luckily for these individuals that choose this route, we will mention three methods of getting your book written without ever touching your homerun keys. For those of you who don’t know what this is called, this is what we call “Outsourcing Made Easy,” and this is just you delegating tasks to others that would do an equal or better job to what you would like not to do.
So, here is the first method and process and I’ll break each of these down as we move along:
1. Transcribe
2. Transcript
3. Proof
4. Edit
5. Optional: Find Copywriter
6. Graphic Designer
7. Publish
8. Profit
If you are going to transcribe your books, it would be wise to hire someone to interview you. Hire because you want someone who is going to ask stimulating questions that will bring out every bit of information you have inside of you. This process will consist of holding a mic in hand or your phone and recording your content for however long it takes for you to get your story together and cover the topics you want to discuss in your book.
After you have it transcribed, you will then need to convert that audio into written format. Now, it would be wise of you to take our advice and get Dragon Naturally Speaking 12. It is an investment that will be invaluable to you over time. We’re recommending this because Dragon allows you to plug your recorded audio up to the computer as it dictates everything you’ve spoken into your microphone onto the computer screen. Pretty cool, right? It literally takes everything that you’ve spoken and turns it into words on the screen. This will save you a lot of time, money and error then having someone else transcribe it and put it together for you because your transcriptionist won’t edit your manuscript anyway. The other method is to outsource it and hire a transcriptionist and have them type it up for you. You can do that over atwww.fiverr.com and this is the person we use ourselves here.
After you’ve got it written up, you can send this puppy to your editor who will not only proof read it but edit the document. You can also outsource this responsibility to someone else and then have them make the appropriate adjustments to the document and fine tune everything for you.
We’re no experts at editing, so we hire someone else to do it all for us. You can also outsource this person over atwww.fiverr.com. You could also hire out on other outsourcing websites such as www.upwork.com. They are cheap and prices will vary depending on the person you’re associated with, so take your time with looking.
Keep in the mind that you don’t have to outline anything before the interview. You can just write topics down you would like to discuss and organize everything with clear instruction to your outsourcer later.
We still must get a book cover for your book, but we want to brush over the outsourcing methods quick, and we’ll discuss this in a later chapter.
