  1. Place the cherries and the juice in a Dutch oven together with the water, about ½ cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of butter and let simmer for about 5 minutes
  2. Sift altogether the flour, the baking powder and the remaining quantity of sugar; then place in a bowl
  3. Cut in the remaining quantity of butter with a pastry blender; then add in the milk and the vanilla
  4. Add in the milk and the vanilla.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls over the mixture of the cherry; then cover and let simmer for about 20 minutes
  6. Serve and enjoy your dessert!
