A school town, Kodaikanal has a large population of school students and where there are students, there will be fast food. Fay’s is famous in ‘Kodi’ for their burgers. They do a surprisingly good Beef Steak Burger which is a juicy fresh piece of tenderloin roasted to perfection in a barbeque sauce with a crisp green lettuce leaf, a red tomato slice, and a delicious soft and airy bun. It’s juicy and big on flavour. Don’t miss it when in Kodaikanal. The other favourite is the Beef Chilly Fry. You can ask for the spicy version if you like. It’s basically shredded beef thrown into a delicious and spice-filled sauce, and sautéed with onions and capsicum. It’s served with a healthy portion of rice and is a good meal by itself. The specialties are almost all chicken or beef items. There is a Veg. Burger which is a rather simple affair and kind of indifferent. Stay with the meaty stuff when you come here or try their French Fries with Cheese, which are nice.

SOMETHING ON THE SIDE

Their desserts are rightly famous and they do a wonderful American style Brownie and a gooey delicious Chocolate Pie. Everything is served hot which just adds to the flavour.
