1 Begin by drawing the beak and one eye. |

2 Add the droplet-shape wattle below the beak. |

3 Draw the triangular ear opening and the curved earlobe. |

4 Draw the back down to where the tail will begin. |

5 Draw the rooster’s comb on top of his head. |

6 Continue the lines of the neck. At the end of the rooster’s back, draw rows of long U shapes to create the saddle feathers. |

Fun Fact
The rooster’s comb and wattle attract a hen’s attention while the rooster does an up-and-down head bob called tidbitting. They also give an indication of the rooster’s health.
