1 Draw the parrot’s neck, and copy the angles and curves shown here. |

2 Draw the upper and lower parts of the parrot’s beak. |

3 Draw the two curves of the eye, and make a small dot for the pupil. |

4 Draw the long curves of the parrot’s wing and the edge of the belly. |

5 Draw three tail feathers that are about half the length of the wing. |

6 Add two more feathers that tuck under the first three. |

7 Add the leg. The toes are pointed because they’ll wrap around a tree limb you’ll draw in the next step. |

8 Complete the parrot’s other leg, and draw a tree limb grasped in his feet. |

9 Erase a small part of the beak, and redraw the edge to have a beaklike point. Add the nostril as well as the curved mask around the eye. |

10 Draw the repeating curves of the feathers of the parrot’s neck and shoulder. Add the wing feathers. |
